The original poster was expecting a girls' trip, so it's not unusual that she was upset when her bestie decided her new boyfriend would tag along.
When you create a plan, you stick to it (unless there's no other way forward but to pivot). In this case, OP's best friend could have waited until after the girls' trip to see her new arm candy but decided to lean into her entitled ways. That's not what friendship should be, and when the OP thought her best friend was simply bluffing, the best friend showed her true colors.

Woman refuses to give entitled friend the green light to invite her new boyfriend on a pre-planned girls' trip to Barcelona, friend cancels the whole trip: ‘The plan was simple’
If there's one thing ladies don't play around with, it's a girls' trip. The entire concept of a girls' trip is to exist as ladies in a cozy environment where there's an absence of stress and pressure that tends to manifest when men are around. It's a bonding experience—but some women decide that instead of bonding with the girlies, they'd prefer to bring their new beaus along for the ride (whether their friends like it or not).
Here lies the issue in this Reddit story. The original poster (OP) has planned a girls' trip with her best friend to Barcelona, and she was really excited to finally have some girl time with her. That was, until, her best friend met a new guy and decided she wouldn't go on the pre-planned trip unless her new man came with them. Disregarding how awkward that would be if he did go, that notion disrespects their friendship in its entirety. The OP's bestie and her new boyfriend would likely go on couple outings, leaving the OP in the dust the entire trip. So, the OP puts her foot down, and the friend decides to lean into her petty behavior. Scroll to read.
